HOW A TREE GROWS
Crown, Trunk, and Roots

All trees grow in basically the same way, whether they are
seedlings or older trees! Trees grow in three different
ways...
1. The tree's crown gets taller.
2. The tree's trunk gets wider around.
3. The tree's roots get deeper and farther into the
soil.
So, how does the crown get taller?
